Dance is the movement of the body in a rhythmic way, to convey an idea or emotion

The art of dance has such a broad spectrum of styles but, like most of our classes, is really about moving the body. There may be a pre-chosen repertoire of movements or perhaps it’s more improvised and spontaneous. Sometimes we dance to music and sometimes not. 

We’ve offered a huge variety of dance classes over the decades and it remains an important part of our weekly timetable today. Whether it’s classic or contemporary, precise or more free-flowing, we’ve definitely got something for your requirements. Our ballet classes are suitable for all ages and all abilities including total beginners and ‘non-dancers’. Classes are inclusive, light-hearted and fun – stretch and tone the whole body whilst calming the mind to beautiful classical music. Improve posture, alignment, strength and flexibility.
