Your health & well-being is our priority.

We have spent a great deal of time preparing for re-opening so that we can return to our wonderful live classes. We have made important changes to how the centre will operate in order to ensure your safety and wellbeing at all times. We ask you to please cooperate in these difficult times. Thank you.

*** Please do not come to the Centre if you have a cough or a cold, a raised temperature, loss of smell or taste, or if you feel unwell. ***

Booking & Payments

  • You must book your class online at least 15 minutes before the class start time. 
  • We will not take bookings or payments for individual classes at the Centre.
  • There is limited capacity in classes to ensure 2 metre distancing between each person during the class.
  • Book online via our website, or download the MindBody app and search for ‘The Brighton Natural Health Centre’.
  • Bring your own mat and/or equipment to class, we now have limited mats for hire at the Centre but we prefer you to bring your own.
  • If you choose to purchase products for sale (e.g yoga mats/water bottles) or need to hire a mat at the Centre, we will be operating a ‘no cash’ policy for the time-being.
  • Contactless payment is preferred.

Arrival & Departure

  • Wearing a mask is mandatory on arrival and in communal areas unless you are exempt. 
  • Please arrive no earlier than 15 minutes before the time of your class.
  • The changing room is not available for use. Please come dressed for class in exercise clothes.
  • There is designated space in the studio for bags/outerwear.
  • We will operate a one way system. On arrival, please follow direction signs to the Main studio.
  • As of Sunday 27th Sept, we will no longer be carrying out temperature checks.
  • When you have finished your class, we ask you to collect your belongings and follow one-way direction signs out of the studio.
  • Please remember to wear your mask when leaving the class and sanitise your hands. Please leave directly and do not wait around.

Health, Safety & Hygiene: our procedures

  • Our studios and main touch points are cleaned between classes.
  • All communal areas are cleaned after the last class every day.
  • Windows will be kept open during classes to allow the best possible ventilation.
  • A dehumidifier/air purifier is available for use in between classes to help clean the air and decrease the risk of airborne pathogens.
  • No props or equipment will be available for use at BNHC for the time-being. 
  • Reception staff work behind a screen and teachers and staff will wear a mask/face covering when moving around the building but not in class (unless exempt).

Health, Safety & Hygiene: what we ask of you

  • Wearing a mask is mandatory on arrival and in communal areas unless you are exempt. 
  • Masks/face coverings are not recommended during exercise classes unless on the advice of a doctor. Please let your teacher know before class if you have received such advice.
  • Please use hand sanitiser; as soon as you have entered the building; before you go to the toilet or upstairs; any time you leave the studio e.g. to go to the toilet; and on leaving BNHC.
  • Always wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before and after using the toilet.
  • Hand-sanitiser stations are available in reception and inside and outside the studios.

Social Distancing: our procedures

  • There will be at least 20 minutes between classes to allow for cleaning and to avoid crowding/queues.
  • Standing/mat placement spots will be marked clearly in the studio to ensure safe distancing is upheld.
  • Staff and teachers will remind you to maintain distance in classes and in communal areas.
  • Directions will be clearly marked around the building.
  • There will be no contact between students and teachers in class i.e no hands-on adjustments.

Social Distancing: what we ask of you

  • Please maintain safe distancing at all times. This is 2 metres between people wherever possible, at least one metre where not.
  • Wherever possible, keep your distance from filled studio mat/standing places and do not move around the studio space unnecessarily.
  • Do not wait around after class or stop for conversations in communal spaces.
  • Do not queue for the toilet, but wait in reception with safe distancing. Only one toilet will be available for use.

Updated 28 Sept 2020 to reflect new laws for sport/leisure facilities: To support NHS Test and Trace (which is part of the Department for Health and Social Care) in England, we have been mandated by law to request contact details and keep a limited record of staff, customers and visitors who come onto our premises for the purpose of contact tracing.
