Triple Bill

We’re bringing together the work of two of our teaching team – established dance artist and our Barre teacher, Martha Canning and internationally renowned choreographer Laurie Booth. Both artists will be presenting solo works. Our special guests will be Three Score Dance Company who’ve been producing really exciting work for over a decade right here in Brighton.

Marth Canning

Brighton dance artists Martha Canning and Chess Dillon- Reams present new work: “Getting to know you”, a highly physical solo dance piece exploring the journey into self inquiry. With an innovative soundscape by musician Tom Canning.

Through dance and music the work creatively portrays the multitude of emotions that come with learning who you are. Promoting positive attitudes to discovering authentic relationships and understanding ourselves.

Laurie Booth

“QUEST” a solo piece by internationally renowned artist and choreographer, Laurie Booth. His performance will be a never ending exploration of vectors and orbital patterns; embodied kinetic architectures. Using wooden clubs and sticks he’ll demonstrate how the natural geometry of the body in motion is enhanced and extended through the arc of the stick and the pendulum of the clubs.

Three Score Dance Company

“A Moment in time” is an exploration of those fleeting moments of joy. Following the worry many experienced as a consequence of Covid and the consequent social isolation, this piece is a look at and a reminder of those brief moments in time where people are happiest.
Three Score Dance (TSD) is an organisation that strives to challenge hearts and minds through the art of dance. They provide a range of performances, classes and creative opportunities for people aged 60+ and aim to support the wellbeing and social benefits of contemporary dance for older people.

We’ve all missed the electric energy that The Brighton Fringe festival brings to Brighton & Hove and we’re sure this year will be one to remember. Tickets can be booked directly with Brighton Fringe here.
